Built in 1452, the award-winning Angel Hotel is on one of the prettiest squares in the country, opposite the Abbey Gardens overlooking Angel Hill.

The Angel Hotel offers traditional Georgian elegance and charm, mixed with modern design. The hotel offers 77 bedrooms, many featuring views of the Abbey Ruins and deep copper bath tubs.

The ground floor of the hotel, totally refurbished in 2019, offers plenty of guest areas to enjoy.

The lounge, featuring a log fire, is the perfect setting to meet friends for coffee, enjoy a light lunch or indulge in afternoon tea.

The bar, offering table service, overlooks Angel Hill and is the perfect place to enjoy a pre dinner drink. The Eaterie is open daily, serving breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Our underground vaults date back to the 12th century, built using the same stone as the Abbey itself, with tunnels linking to the Abbey.
